Glidefield are aware of the fast pace of changes in legislation regarding energy conservation and renewable energy technologies, particularly with regard to part L2 of the Building Regulations.

Commensurate with our design processes, we are able to carry out expected energy consumption of mechanical and electrical services proposals through production of a BRUKL output document, often referred to as an SBEM, and from this document we are able to identify where energy consumption or carbon emissions savings have to be made.

To this end we have supplied & installed on various projects Combined Heat and Power plant (CHP), photovoltaic panels (PV) and solar thermal collectors and hot water storage facilities.

Condensing type boilers are always our first choice when gas fired heating plant is required.

We are now specifying and installing variable speed fans with frequency converter drives in all main air handling plant in order to meet strict energy consumption limits (L2A) and to provide our Clients with the most energy efficient plant available within Contract budgets.

We are experienced in the installation of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating and comfort cooling systems incorporating the latest inverter driven compressor technologies.
